[VGC or Smogon] Cinccino Moveset - Physical Attacker - Marcusube - Jan 26, 2015

Cinccino has pretty mediocre stats but can be a decent attacker and in a way a supporting Pokemon. Statwise, Cinccino has 75 HP, 95 Attack, 60 Defense, 65 Special Attack, 60 Special Defense and 115 Speed. Not anything to get exited about other than its speed. Looking at its abilities, we have:

Cute Charm: 30% chance of infatuating Pokemon of the opposite gender if they make contact. Don't use this....EVER
Technician: This Pokemon's attacks of base damage 60 or less will do 1.5x damage. Great ability to give Cinccino some more firepower but it pales in comparison (just for Cinccino, BRELOOMINATI HYPE! kappa ) to its Hidden Ability
Skill Link: This Pokemon's multiple hit moves will always hit the maximum amount of times. YES, YES.........YES!! This is great for Cinccino has great multi strike moves.

Moveset

Cinccino @ King's Rock
Ability: Skill Link
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bullet Seed
- Rock Blast
- Tail Slap
- Protect/U-Turn

Pretty much all you ever want to and need to run on Cinccino is this. Bullet Seed puts Mega Swampert and Rotom-W to bed, Rock Blast spanks those violent Flying types, Tail Slap for STAB and Protect for.....protecting. U-Turn is for a Singles Build. I suggest using King's Rock to fish for flinches since you have a 10% chance each hit which equates to about a 50% chance to flinch the opponent. Why I don't recommend any other items? You'll see why....

Offensive Calculations

252 Atk Cinccino Tail Slap (5 hits) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Kangaskhan: 90-110 (49.7 - 60.7%) -- approx. 99.6% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Cinccino Bullet Seed (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Rotom-W: 110-140 (70 - 89.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Cinccino Bullet Seed (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Mega Swampert: 220-280 (106.2 - 135.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Cinccino Rock Blast (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Thundurus: 160-190 (86 - 102.1%) -- approx. 6.3% chance to OHKO

Defensive Calculations

252 Atk Parental Bond Mega Kangaskhan Sucker Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Cinccino: 100-118 (66.2 - 78.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Cinccino: 220-259 (145.6 - 171.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Cinccino: 161-191 (106.6 - 126.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

As you can see, Cinccino is very frail and it doesn't make sense investing EVs into defensive stats because there isn't much to work off in the first place. King's Rock Cinccino is still a good Pokemon to use because of how it can attack and stop your opponents from moving, costing them an entire turn which is pretty sweet.

Cinccino with skill link/kings rock is absolutely awesome. Decent damage, really good speed and able to run over unprepared trainers. Definitely one of my favorite pokemon Smile

I actually ran calcs for this. Adamant Cinccino still out speeds Timid M-Charizard Y by 1 point. So adamant sounds like a better nature imo.

According to my calculations both of them get 167 speed. So it is actually a speed tie with adamant nature.

Imagine the power if paired with a Pokémon using Helping Hand

I'm running an adamant skill link Cinncino and the thing is an absolute beast. I never actually thought of using kings rock... i was just using muscle band to squeeze a tad more power out of it, but kings rock would defs be the better option.
