FFA stands for free for all. How it works is 4 trainers get the Pokemon they want to use and battle it out every man for themselves. You do it in multi battle format, but you attack whoever.

Oh.. So this what it's called.. I have been doing this over the PSS for a very long time.. Multibattle while changing partners per game.. however we limit the usage of pokemon cause we didn't like to battle with illegal pokemon or legendaries.
