Don't give up, it took me over 2000 soft resets in my first SR hunt. I think the longer it takes the more rewarding it will be when you finally find it.

Until an event comes along with a shiny Ho-oh (which i don't see happening anytime soon) I would keep on going. You can do it!

For sure. Plus shiny Ho-oh and Lugia is just amazing for nostalgia reasons haha.
