[VGC] Trouble with Final Two Slots
#1
Hey guys, I'm just starting to get into VGC and I'm trying to make a team but I'm totally stumped on the final two slots. So far the team goes as follows:

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze --> Tough Claws
EVs: 92 HP, 174 Atk, 244 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Claw
The EVs allow it to survive an unboosted Hydreigon's Draco Meteor before Mega Evolving.

Rotom-Wash @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP 252 SpD 4 SpA
Calm Nature
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
Mainly used to wall special attackers and burn Mega Kang and Mawile

Salamence @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP 252 SpA 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stone Edge
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Rock Slide (Need suggestions for this move)
Mence has been used to take out most dragon threats to charizard or draw away possible ice and dragon type attacks. Intimidate support is useful as well.

Scizor @ Lum Berry
Ability: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP 252 Atk 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor
- Bullet Punch
This is my fairy killer. I tend to use it to sweep as well once any fire type threats are taken care of.

After this I really don't know what to include in my team. I've been playing around with Gengar and Hariyama. From my games, I've found that I really need fake out support but don't know which fake out user would complement my team. The last slot is completely up for grabs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want a fake out support then I should go for Meowstic or Sableye since they both learn Fake Out and have the prankster ability.

Also it seems like your team has a rock weakness so I should go for Aegislash or Hariyama(Hariyama can also learn fake out btw) to cover that weakness

I like your team so far KiddFrosty!
I would change Rotor-W EV's to

Rotom-Wash @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Def / 4 SAtk / 132 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature
– Thunderbolt
– Hydro Pump
– Will-O-Wisp
– Protect
Rotom only has a ~6% chance of being knocked out by Modest 252 SpAtk Charizard-Y’s Solar Beam. The 116 Defense lets it take two Adamant 252 Atk Azumarill Play Roughs without being knocked out when factoring in Sitrus. You have two dragons so you need multiple switch in VS fairies.
Like Eeveeli said your team is weak to Rock you can see here

I think Ludicolo would do everything you want. It learns Fakeout that can help Charizard Dragon Dance. It doesn't resist rock attacks but its water and grass attacks will hit rock super effective. This will also help you vs rain match ups. Ludicolo build below

@ Assault Vest
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 132 HP / 20 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 100 Spe
Modest Nature
– Fake Out
– Scald
– Ice Beam
– Giga Drain

Get a full team together by sunday and play the tournament! Smile
