[ORAS] Masuda method vs Soft Reseting
#1
I wanted to know and start a discussion on which would be fast, so here is my predicament I have recently acquired a copy of alpha sapphire (not that I already had Omega) and I wanted to soft reset for a shiny but I was wondering which would be faster me having a Japanese ditto would it be faster to soft reset or masuda method and wait in till I get the shiny charm or just start SRing a starter

both methods will take a while!

Both take a while but I have never had personal success SRing but have with Masuda Method.
#4
also fall up question would having two pokemon from other nations increase it more?

It won't. The most luck you will have with getting shinies is getting the shiny charm and breed for them. This works (in my option) better + you can breed for natures/egg moves/ect + you can trade the not shinies and possibly get other shinies via wondertrade which happened to me a few times before :D

^ This. I full heartily enjoy breeding over SR'ing tbh.

I prefer breeding over the Soft Reset, because you don't press many buttons for breeding. :P

But will Soft Reset Legendaries, which I'll have to do for Cresselia. Sad

You make me feel bad about myself not being able to get shinies that are awesome like those. Kappa

I have been VERY successful with the Masuda Method. I have yet to try Soft-reseting but it seems way more tedious to me.
I do REALLY want a shiny Giratina so I might try it out sometime soon.
