[DISCUSSION] A good teammate for Togekiss.
#5
@OniionCiitron Can you please specify the format next time. Anyways, in VGC16, Togekiss pairs very well with Kangaskhan, Mega-Rayquaza and Kyogre. In Battle Spot Doubles, it works on teams that need Tailwind or redirection. Togekiss isn't really a Pokemon to build a team around but one that supports an idea. So for example you want to use Mega-Charizard Y but Charizard is too slow to catch faster Pokemon such as Terrakion or scarf Landorus-T, Togekiss can set up Tailwind to increase Charizard's speed. It pairs well with Kangaskhan due to its ability to redirect Fighting moves from Kangaskhan which generally OHKO it not to mention that it allows Kangaskhan to use Power Up Punch on it to boost its attack stage without taking significant damage. Mega-Rayquaza's Delta Stream cancels out Togekiss' weaknesses to Electric, Rock and Ice making it even more annoying to take out, plus Togekiss provides utility for Mega Ray by locking opponents into attacks with Encore or stopping them in their tracks with Thunder Wave.

Here's where paraflinch comes in. Run Air Slash and Thunder Wave on Togekiss and pair it with a Pokemon that can stop Steel, Rock and Electric types. Something like Primal-Groudon or Mamoswine or to an extent Magnezone though Magnezone isn't viable in doubles. You want to keep the element of speed control so Togekiss always outspeeds and flinches the opponent with Air Slash. To prevent status ailments such as paralysis or speed drops from Icy Wind, pair Togekiss with Pokemon such as Raichu, who will redirect all Electric moves and be a fast nuisance to the opponent or Milotic, who with its Competitive ability will discourage the use of Icy Wind or other stat dropping moves. Togekiss doesn't appreciate moves such as Rock Slide (or any spread move for that matter) so a Wide Guard user such as Aegislash can be used or an Intimidator such as Landorus-Therian or Mega-Salamence (pre-evo) do work as well. Togekiss is a Flying type and the best typing(s) that synergies offensively with this are Ground and Fighting. Blaziken, Kyurem-W (Earth Power variant), Low Kick Mega Kangaskhan, Garchomp and Primal-Groudon all perform this role very well

TL;DR

Kangaskhan, Aegislash, Landorus-Therian, Mega-Salamence, Blaziken, Kyurem-W, Garchomp, Primal-Groudon, Primal-Kyogre, Rayquaza, Mega-Rayquaza, Milotic, Bisharp, Scizor and Mega-Lucario are good options for complementing Togekiss. Even weather teams (particularly Sand) love Togekiss' ability to redirect super effective Grass and Fighting moves (VGC15)
