I never thought to time the intro animation. I figured that just fell under keeping the sound on. I've never used this method to deduce if a pokémon is Shiny, but I'll be sure to keep it in mind next time I hunt one of those pesky look-alike Shinies. Thanks for the tip, Reis!

I was thinking of hunting a Shiny Azelf for my recreational Singles team. I'd be hunting in the Gen 6 games of course, so is there anything you would recommend to me going into hunting it?
