if you're using the masuda method (or just breeding for shinies at all) maybe go for one of the cool shinies that barely take any steps to hatch. the smallest amount (besides magikarp since it's the only one with the actual smallest amount) is 2805 (or 1530 with magma armor/flame body). some cool shinies that take that many steps to hatch include caterpie, azurill, croagunk, and pachirisu, though there are a few more
