The pros in having a sibling that plays pokemon, too. Are you both the eldest? I'm the older one, and I like the sun, but I'll give way to my brother if he choose it.

I sometimes collaborate with a good friend and we get different versions. Thankfully our tastes usually work out just right, for instance, he wanted Heart Gold and I wanted Soul Silver.
