I really need friends. I don't know how to properly work the 3DS friend system so if there are any hoops I need to jump through it'd be great if someone could tell me how to jump through them.

i don't think there's any hoops to jump. just add the number on 3ds and when the other person adds you back, you will be on each others friend list in pokemon

PkSoul Thank you for the friend. Your Friend Safari is Grass Type with Swadloon and Pansage.

Also while I was checking it for you I found a Shiny Swadloon on the second encounter. So thanks for that xD
