Hacked Pokemon

If you're getting competitive 6 IV shiny Pokemon off Wondertrade, most likely they've been powersaved. Twitch and a hand full of Pokemon communities normally powersave the original Pokemon, clone it, then Wondertrade it in bulk. There is really no sure fire way to tell if a Pokemon is hacked but one way you can tell it is illegal is by checking BattleSpot.

I actually once got a shiny Ho-Oh in somewhat a very special pokeball (a Speed Ball from HG/SS) I freaked out because it was super beautiful with it!  Then I saw... 0IV's everywhere... pls dun do dat to me

You guys are super lucky cause the only thing I got from WT is a bunch of zigzagoons and zubats.... I wouldn't mind getting those pokemon hacked or not

I'd like to explain on this topic but I'll address the OP first. Honestly you can't really tell if the Pokemon is hacked based on the stats/shiny alone except with the I think the memory girl which is suppose to have specific quotes for certain Legendary Pokemon for ORAS. Now if you get an "event" pokemon with any ribbons on it, its definitely hacked since most ribbons prevent the player from trading away event Pokemon, even into the GTS. One last thing to note is if any event Legendary Pokemon is nicknamed then it is an auto hacked/modded Pokemon.

The reason why people trade shiny legendaries and mythical/event-based Pokemon into the GTS / Wonder Trade is mostly to promote the person doing certain giveaways and also to sorta "flush out" all the other wild Pokemon or Imperfect IVs Hatchlings. Given how "easy" it is to either gen or powersave vast amounts of Pokemon for a certain GTS or Wonder Trade, people will do this for either 1) satisfaction of sorts or 2) give out competitively viable Pokemon to someone who doesn't have one. There are certain Pokemon personalities from twitch/youtube who always advocates for trading better Pokemon on either GTS / Wonder Trade for these same reasons so this has been a thing for a couple years now.

Personally I don't mind this since its getting easier to detect hack Pokemon for VGC competitions (which people should be careful with). If you can give a person without any experience with competitive a 6 iv breedable Pokemon, they can use it as a starting point to breed their own Pokemon and and eventually get all their necessary teams.
