Let's try again. I'm not sure if this is in the right area of the forums but here goes... I recently got back into competitive Pokémon training in Omega Ruby, and I need help in figuring out the rest of the team.
I have a modest Eevee which could evolve into Vaporeon or use a ghost type. Suggestions would be most appreciated and what would be best for my team: mega Blaziken, Gardevore (when I get her mega stone) or Altaria?
Depends what you like the best. Honestly, I'd go for OU as it has a lot of cool mons in it but it is the most played. I'd go for mega gardevoir or altaria, as regular blaziken is still pretty strong with speed boost and altaria getting the fairy typing is quite huge.
If you go for OU, Blaziken is banned. You can check out some good builds on Smogon for the Pokemon you want to use, or just ask the people on here. Here's some helpful links for building a team.
It's a matter of preference really. Honestly, you have a better shot at Smogon OU or Battle Spot Doubles. VGC 2016 requires the usage of legendaries meaning you would need the assistance of genning or powersaves (or you can Soft Reset your legendaries, but this can take from 5 minutes to over three months). Low tier Smogon restricts the Pokemon you can use so you won't be able to use everything your heart desires but I can vouch that the NU tier is very fun to play in. As for anything outside of this, those metagames aren't very popular so they will be harder to learn and harder to find opponents to challenge and have fun with
