[RATE MY TEAM] [BSD] Double Cross
#1
Hey all today I'm posting my Battle Spot Doubles Pokemon team, I hope some of you can give me some feedback on it :D

Physical Sweeper

Heracross @Heracronite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 HP / 252 ATK / 4 SP DEF
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Close Combat
- Bullet Seed
- Pin Missle

I chose Heracross because I wanted a Mega Pokemon that opponents would not be familiar with, as going for something like Mega Salamence or Mega Kangaskhan was a bit lame in my opinion. I found after playing around a bit on showdown that M-Heracross is actually incredibly useful, and has an insanely high attack stat, 260 at LV 50, and its Mega ability allows it to wreck havoc. Initially i chose Megahorn instead of pin missile, but then I realized that with the ability, Skill Link, pin missile hits 5 times always. This also goes for bullet seed and rock blast, but I decided against rock blast because I would have to give up protect for it. Bullet seed is there to take care of Rotom-W and Gastrodon, as well as do decent damage to Suicune. Pin Missle, I calculated, takes out bulky Cresellia in 1 turn. Close combat is just a way of dishing out massive damage, and the drop in defense doesn’t really matter as Heracross is so slow most of the time it attacks last.

252+ Atk Mega Heracross Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 172+ Def Cresselia: 220-270 (96.9 - 118.9%) -- approx. 93.8% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Kangaskhan: 294-348 (162.4 - 192.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Mega Heracross Bullet Seed (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 44 Def Rotom-W: 190-230 (121 - 146.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Mega Heracross Bullet Seed (5 hits) vs. 180 HP / 108 Def Gastrodon: 500-600 (239.2 - 287%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Mega Heracross Close Combat vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 588-696 (417 - 493.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Mega Heracross Bullet Seed (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Suicune: 150-180 (72.4 - 86.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Bulky Physical Sweeper

Metagross @Sitrus Berry
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 100 ATK / 40 DEF / 40 SP ATK / 40 SP DEF / 40 SPD
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Meteor Mash

I chose Metagross to come along because in battles with a friend I saw how incredibly bulky it is even without defense investment. It can take a lot of hits, and dish out reasonably hard ones back. I brought it along mainly to soak up damage and distract, but against fairies its quite useful, as well as packing a nasty surprise to Heatran or Scrafty with Hammer Arm. The EV spread might be a bit random but truth is that I did the EVs too late on this Metagross and just couldn’t be arsed to redo them, as well as me being fine with a bit of all round coverage.

100+ Atk Metagross Hammer Arm vs. 176 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 112-132 (59.5 - 70.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
100+ Atk Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 108 HP / 124 Def Mega Gardevoir: 186-222 (118.4 - 141.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
100+ Atk Metagross Meteor Mash vs. 188 HP / 68 Def Sylveon: 200-236 (103 - 121.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
100+ Atk Metagross Hammer Arm vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Scrafty: 102-122 (59.3 - 70.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Fast Physical Sweeper

Bisharp @Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 ATK / 4 SPD
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Iron Head
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch

Bisharp was mainly brought to life because I was unable to hit Cresellia and Gengar, as well as getting pissed off at Leftovers Gastrodon or Suicune. Knock Off does a lot of damage to Cres, as well as reasonable damage to Gastrodon and Suicune, + knocking off the items. Bisharp has Sucker Punch, because lets face it, Bisharp is quite slow. I invested a lot into HP, but now it can take a Physical M-Salamence Earthquake. Sadly it can’t take M-Kang low kick though, for which I rely on Sucker Punch.

252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 172+ Def Cresselia: 156-187 (68.7 - 82.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 180 HP / 108 Def Gastrodon: 136-161 (65 - 77%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 283-338 (208 - 248.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 44 Def Rotom-W: 105-125 (66.8 - 79.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Suicune: 82-97 (39.6 - 46.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Cresselia @ Rocky helmet (Icy wind)
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP / 108 def / 12 SpA / 84 SpD / 52 Spe
- Icy Wind
- Psychic
- Moonlight
- Moonblast

Cresellia here is the main tank to be fair. It can soak up so much damage and provide speed control to slow down things so Heracross stands a chance. Cresellia is incredibly bulky so it stays in the field long, plus with a right prediction the rocky helmet does a lot of damage into, e.g. M-Kang fake out. I gave Cres Moonblast instead of a Helping Hand because I wanted it to be able to do something against Dragons and I found myself hardly ever using Helping Hand.

Gardevoir @Gardevoirite

Ability: Trace
Nature: Modest
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SP ATK / 252 SPD
- Moonblast
- Hyper Voice
- Protect
- Psychic

Gardevoir is here to be a little surprise, but honestly I just want it to hold something else than a Mega Stone. I don’t use Mega Gardevoir that often, and running 2 Megas at a time is a bit weird, plus I have to waste an item slot if I want to bring Gardevoir along even without intending to Mega. I want to get rid of Moonblast, but I have no better alternative as of now. Hyper Voice is there because Pixilate obviously. Psychic because I want to be able to hit Fighting and Poison effectively, and Protect because everything needs a Protect.

252+ SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Suicune: 117-138 (56.5 - 66.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Salamence: 314-372 (183.6 - 217.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Mega Gardevoir Psychic vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Gengar: 254-302 (152 - 180.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Bisharp: 175-207 (124.1 - 146.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Blaziken @Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 ATK / 4 SPD
- Overheat
- Brave Bird
- High Jump Kick
- Protect

Blaziken is here because I needed a fire type, and I liked speed boost. I know that it might seem a bit lazy not to invest into any speed, but after 2 speed boosts it outspeeds Mega-Salamence with full speed EVs. High Jump Kick is risky, but I find it hits most of the time so as long as you don’t hit into a protect you’re good. Overheat is there to sacrifice the SP ATK and do a lot of damage, even though there’s an adamant nature I find it still does more than enough damage. Brave bird is the main question here, I brought it along because I wanted to be able to hit fighting and grass pokemon, but I find the recoil is just too much as well as the fact that it doesn’t do nearly enough damage for my liking.

0- SpA Blaziken Overheat vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 102-122 (61 - 73%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 468-552 (331.9 - 391.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Blaziken Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Mega Venusaur: 284-336 (450.7 - 533.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Blaziken High Jump Kick vs. 180 HP / 108 Def Gastrodon: 135-160 (64.5 - 76.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Wow that took a long time to write, anyways i hope someone can give me a bit of feedback, mainly on Gardevoir and Blaziken :D

Peace
