Looking into it now Kiev. If you were able to fit a Helping Hand user on your team, netting the KO against Smeargle shouldn't be a problem. Moreover, Helping Hand boosts the damage output of each of your Pokemon so it's still more of a proactive than reactive option to approach the metagame
As for fitting Helping Hand on your team, the best option would be to drop Togekiss for Clefairy/Clefable but that'd probably deter from the gimmick of this team
