Hey y'all, I was hoping someone could notify me on how the post-season rules of VGC work. I've only really been doing competitive battling for the last year so this is the first time I've experienced it.
Battlespot doubles rating battle (i.e the online ladder ranking) which used to follow VGC15 rules has now changed to allow non-pentagon pokemon to participate in what I though was the new VGC16 format. Is this not the case; have the rules for VGC16 not been finalized and is this change to the rules just to mix up the meta a bit before the actual VGC16 rules are set? Or will non-pentagon pokemon be allowed in the future and planning a team using older gen pokemon not a waste of time?
