Summary

This Pokemon is quite the offensive beast. It sports a wide movepool which allows it to cover most of the main threats in VGC. Play Rough is an all around good STAB and it hits Terrakion and Hydreigon for super effective. Super Fang gives you another offensive option if Granbull were to get burnt as it cuts the opponent's HP in half however you could go with Close Combat even though it would defeat the purpose of the Assault Vest plus it won't take out anything that Play Rough already can handle (barring Heatran). Ice Punch for coverage against Landorus-T, Amoonguss and dragon types and Rock Slide for spread damage.

The only flaw with Granbull is its speed however you could fix that by putting it in Trick Room but Granbull still works effectively outside of it. Also note that Granbull will have a hard time dealing with Bisharp seeing as how Intimidate triggers Defiant which allows Bisharp to kill it 2 times over .

Team mates such as Cresselia, Charizard Y, Gastrodon, Heatran and Mega Venusaur work well with Granbull.
