Charizard X in VGC is interesting. On one hand, given proper support, it can do well. On the other, Chaizard Y is more designed for VGC. I would recommend running Dragon Dance with Flare Blitz, Dragon Claw, and Protect. You really want a Follow Me pokemon beside you. Maybe Amoongus. It can Spore opponents to give you extra time.

Oh okay. Can you provide a EV spread so I can base my EVS off of that? c:

I tried making a VGC team around Charizard X last night. This is the set I ended up with after a bit of testing:
Charizard @ Charizardite X Ability: Blaze Level: 50 EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Protect - Dragon Dance - Flare Blitz - Rock Slide I liked the idea of a DD Tough Claws-boosted Rock Slide, although you lose the option of running Dragon Claw or Earthquake. This set needs redirection support which I used Togekiss for. I also used Icy Wind Milotic and Thundurus for speed control. |
