Don't be afraid to introduce yourself in the Meet and Greet thread, if you're a competitive battler or an aspiring one, check out the Competitive Discussion and Moveset sections to see if anything there interests you and we invite you to ask as many questions or pose as many concerns/theories/strategies you can think of. If you aren't a battler, don't worry, there is always the Trading Section for breeders! Don't play Pokemon? There are other sections on the forums for Smash players and Monster Hunter players as well!
