RE: NU team suggestions? - Marcusube - Jan 8, 2015 Your team looks a bit weird in terms of the sets you chose for each Pokemon. I threw a little something together for you, tell me if you like it or nah. :P Cradily @ Chesto Berry Ability: Storm Drain Level: 50 EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SpD Relaxed Nature - Infestation/Stealth Rock - Toxic - Rest - Stockpile Golurk @ Weakness Policy Ability: No Guard Level: 50 EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 196 Spe Adamant Nature - Rock Polish - Dynamic Punch - Earthquake - Stone Edge Torkoal @ Leftovers Ability: Shell Armor Level: 50 EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Relaxed Nature - Amnesia - Will-O-Wisp - Clear Smog - Lava Plume Electivire @ Choice Scarf Ability: Motor Drive Level: 50 EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 196 Spe Lonely Nature - Wild Charge - Ice Punch - Cross Chop - Volt Switch Seismitoad @ Choice Specs Ability: Water Absorb Level: 50 EVs: 244 HP / 252 SpA / 12 SpD Quiet Nature - Scald - Focus Blast - Earth Power - Sludge Bomb Cryogonal @ Light Clay Ability: Levitate Level: 50 EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Rapid Spin - Light Screen - Reflect - Recover I chose Storm Drain Cradily over Suction Cups seeing as how people rarely use psuedo-hazers in NU. Also, I was thinking Cradily would be better for Stealth Rock since it is harder to OHKO which gives a better chance for getting up your hazards. I scrapped Giga Drain and Ingrain because these aren't very good moves for sustaining Cradily. No Guard, Rock Polish, Weakness Policy Golurk is one of my, maybe not original, but favourite set to run as it has reaped more wins than loses. It is a very powerful sweeping utility that requires little set up and can harshly dent an opponents team if they cannot weaken its stats or status it. Also, being part Ground type, you are less prone to paralysis which would slow it down, breaking the set up. The Torkoal set chosen is pretty OP because it can take a Hydro Pump from a Rotom-Wash and only lose 48-58% of its HP provided that it sets up at least one Amnesia. Volt Switch on Electivire is just in case your opponents Pokemon only need one more hit to KO and to give switch priority at the same time. Also Cross Chop for more coverage than EQ for the team seeing as how 2 Pokemon already have Ground moves and with STAB so EQ on Electivire becomes a bit redundant. Specs Seismitoad is just an idea I hatched seeing as how the move pool it has contains so much coverage over most types and its Special attack stat isn't that bad to pull this off. Lastly, Cryogonal is better used as Support as its base defense stat is too poor to even waste time in making it bulky and your team has two walls already so why not make them stronger and Rapid Spin is to get rid of entry hazards so your walls can set up without being handicapped by loss of HP or Toxic Status. Tah Dah Your thoughts? RE: NU team suggestions? - JohnsonKe6 - Jan 8, 2015 Actually i like Earthquake on Electivire. Very effective for sweeps in my opinion RE: NU team suggestions? - JohnsonKe6 - Jan 8, 2015 And i also would like Cyroganol to actually attack bcause i only have 1 special attacker RE: NU team suggestions? - JohnsonKe6 - Jan 8, 2015 Here is what i changed: Cryogonal @ Light Clay Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Rapid Spin - Light Screen - Reflect - Ice Beam Cradily @ Binding Band Ability: Storm Drain Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SpD Relaxed Nature - Recover - Infestation - Toxic - Stockpile RE: NU team suggestions? - JohnsonKe6 - Jan 9, 2015 Also i replace Cyrogonal to Jynx as I want a counter to Weezing because my team can do nothing to it. RE: NU team suggestions? - JohnsonKe6 - Jan 9, 2015 Jynx (F) @ Choice Specs Ability: Forewarn Serious Nature - Frost Breath - Psychic - Draining Kiss - Shadow Ball EV Spread? Why not Modest to boost special attack since you're running Choice Specs? RE: NU team suggestions? - JohnsonKe6 - Jan 10, 2015 Nature is part of EV spread |
