[VGC] Mega Garchomp - Physical Attacker - Delta - Oct 5, 2015 Original Creator Not Found
Oh Garchomp. Generation six was not kind to you. It brought fairies into existence, and now we all fear Sylveon's Hyper Voice. Your Mega unfortunately loses 10 points in speed (if only those ten points didn't go to special attack...), however, everything else is boosted to rediculous proportions. Also, lets just look at the design. Regular Garchomp looks cool, even if his shiny is a bit lackluster. Now, with Mega Garchomp, the coolness factor gets turned up to 11. Not to mention its shiny form, WHICH IS PANK!!! SO AMAZING!!!!!!!11!!!!!one!!!!2 Type: Dragon/Ground Weaknesses: Ice (x4), Fairy (x2), Dragon (x2) Resistances: Fire (x.5), Rock (x.5), Poison (x.5) Immunities: Electric Abilities: Sand Veil -During a sandstorm, the evasion of a Pokémon with this Ability is increased by 25%. A Pokémon with this Ability will take no damage from the sandstorm if it otherwise would. Rough Skin (Hidden Ability) - When a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a move that makes contact, the attacking Pokémon loses 1/8 of its own maximum HP. If a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a multi-strike move that makes contact (such as Fury Swipes), each hit will activate this Ability. If Rough Skin causes both the Pokémon with this Ability and the attacking Pokémon to faint, then the attacking Pokémon will faint first. Sand Force (Mega Ability) - During a sandstorm, Sand Force increase the power of Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-type moves used by the Pokémon with this Ability by 30%. A Pokémon with this Ability will take no damage from the sandstorm if it otherwise would. Base Stats (Pre-Mega): 108 HP/ 130 Atk/ 95 Def/ 80 SpA/ 85 SpD/ 102 Spe Base Stats (Post-Mega): 108 HP/ 170 Atk/ 115 Def/ 120 SpA/ 95 SpD/ 92 Spe Garchomp-Mega @ Garchompite Ability: Rough Skin Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 128 Atk / 84 SpD / 44 Spe Adamant Nature - Earthquake - Outrage - Protect - Rock Slide This is my favorite Mega Garchomp set. I have played around with the EVs for hours, and I feel like this is the ideal moveset for my team. Let me start off by explaining the speed EVs. Basically, I wanted to outspeed a Jolly Choice Scarf Landorus-Therian under Tailwind, and I do. Of course, if you don't run Tailwind on your team, you shouldn't run any speed EVs at all, there simply isn't anything to outspeed without removing even more attack EVs. The starting ability should be Rough Skin, just in case you want to switch into an attack, but if you can't get your hands on Rough Skin, it doesn't matter. I honestly haven't utilized the pre mega ability anyways. I chose to run Outrage over Dragon Claw because the damage difference is extreme, and without full investment, Garchomp needs all the damage he can get. Earthquake is a very powerful STAB attack, and every Garchomp should learn it, no questions. Rock Slide is the last move for coverage, I will list other alternatives below. Before we look at calculations, lets all admire how amazing shiny Mega Garchomp looks, I'll wait. Done? Good. Here are some numbers: Offensive Defensive: Other Options:

RE: [VGC] Mega Garchomp - Physical Attacker - Black117 - Oct 5, 2015 Try Trick Room Mega Chomp with TR Cress and Tyranitar to get the same up and just watch everything die.... As for the Sword Dance set, I'd use it once any everything died an EQ. This is factoring in the most of my opponents Pokemon where grounded so +2 Earthquake with the Sand Force can do this: +2 76+ Atk Sand Force Mega Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Steelix in Sand: 192-228 (105.4 - 125.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO +2 76+ Atk Sand Force Mega Garchomp Earthquake vs. 212 HP / 60 Def Kangaskhan in Sand: 223-264 (107.7 - 127.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO +2 76+ Atk Sand Force Mega Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Aegislash-Shield in Sand: 284-336 (170 - 201.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO RE: [VGC] Mega Garchomp - Physical Attacker - Delta - Oct 5, 2015 (Oct 5, 2015, 04:31 PM)Black117 Wrote: Try Trick Room Mega Chomp with TR Cress and Tyranitar to get the same up and just watch everything die.... RE: [VGC] Mega Garchomp - Physical Attacker - pokeking825 - Feb 23, 2016 i need a riko :D :D RE: [VGC] Mega Garchomp - Physical Attacker - Mooseblood - Mar 7, 2016 I don't mean to be that guy but does anyone have a garchompite they'd be willing to trade? /: I find it extremely difficult to collect 1000 flags RE: [VGC] Mega Garchomp - Physical Attacker - PkPhiver - Mar 13, 2016 If you still need one, I'll give you one! Weavile: Defensive: 252 Atk Weavile Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 244 HP / 72 Def Scizor: 73-87 (41.4 - 49.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO Knock Off is the Only thing that would really harm Scizor, doing less than 50% when knocking off an item, whereas scizor can ealisy block it w/ bullet punch and then setup a tailwind. I'm more than sure that this isn't perfect, (this being me and the set) but I can see this working. EDIT: Also, sorry this is soo long, just trying to prove that this set works.
