[HELP] Pop up windows

I noticed pop up windows have been occuring on the site. I just turned ad block on for this site so I wouldn't get them ( either a new window or the same window and I can't go back.) Is it just my computer, or is it the site? I'd hate to have ad block turned on because of a few pop ups.

I think it might be forum sites because it's occurring on this and another forum I'm on.

Yeah and I've seen so many clickbait ads on here. Sorry Justin, I already give you Sub money I'm not endorsing clickbait by keeping AdBlock off.

I've been noticing this today too. I have adblock turned off on this site, and occasionally it'll just redirect to a clickbait article. In fact, one time it redirected me to a site blocked by my browser because it was a phishing attempt. Hopefully the forum hosting service they use will do something about this.

Oh yeah, I got that one with the phishing attempt yesterday!

yeah, its like when i click on anything other than the index or the control panel it takes me to some unrelated website about fitness, health stuff like that :P

Yea this is happening and some of the pop-ups are malicious so i've enabled ad block and i'll try again in a week or so and leave disabled or re enable if the more malicious adds are still around. But as peppermint said many of the current adds are diverting to click baits or phishing attempts automatically meaning i can't even use this site without add block at the moment...

It's been happening to me a lot recently, and I'm typically on my phone. They either come up in a new tab or replace the website and won't let me go back. It's super annoying.

This just started happening to me a ton!! I don't want to have to turn on adblock for this site but I may have to.
