Another great analysis, well done Black.
M-Mawile's Fairy/Steel typing is both a pain and a pleasure to play with in VGC15. As being said above, Steel + Fairy STABs can't touch Fire or Steel pokemon.. then if you think that Land-T (Ground type + Intimidate) is the most used pokemon, while Heatran (Fire/Steel type) and M-CharY (the strongest Fire SpAttacker pokemon) are currently in top6 of Battle Spot too (and they are both gaining popularity in US Regionals and EU Nationals in particular as a way to counter Rain and M-Metagross), it's easy to understand the mediocre usage of M-Mawile in the last seasons. Anyway i've seen Paul Chua working with a M-Mawile in a standard Rain team, which is in my opinion, its best condition in this moment, as Politoed and Ludicolo/Kingdra can deal with Fire and Ground types and most of the Steel types, giving M-Mawile the possibility to be a late game sweeper.
