[RATE MY TEAM] Conquering the Earth: Ray-Ogre + Double Genie Team (VGC 2016)
#9
A few notes after using this team a couple matches:

I know you have your reasons for not using Origin Pulse, but maybe consider running it over Water Spout? I know Water Spout can have higher damage output, but the move becomes less and less effective as the battle goes on. I found myself in situations where the opponent got chip damage off on my Kyogre that made Water Spout not get KOs it would've gotten had it been full health, or used Origin Pulse. The accuracy can be a gamble, though.

I swapped out Sky Drop with Taunt. I completely understand your reasoning for using it and it's a great strategy, but I found that Taunt has higher utility. Being able to stop Dark Void, Geomancy, Calm Mind, and all the other status moves is just too important to pass on.

Scizor is a great replacement for Ferrothorn. The first match I tested it, my opponent lead with a Cresselia and I knocked it out in two turns. Plus, applying offensive pressure with a +2 Bullet Punch is great.

Landorus, while I'm going to keep the moveset you're using, needs to be tested a bit more. Choice Band has locked me into some unfavorable positions, making me lose two games. That's probably more of a reflection on me than the Pokémon, but still.

Overall though, I really like the team and I'm going to keep trying it out!
