This is a question that has been on my mind for a while, and I see a lot of streamers naming their Pokemon, but personally I hate named Pokemon!
It got me thinking though, how many of you actually name your Pokemon? For me, there's nothing worse than getting a Pokemon with a rubbish name traded to me :P
i like naming a pokemon because i makes me more attached to it, for example one major rule of a nuzlocke is to name your pokemon so when they die it affects you more
Yeah, I can actually understand doing it on a Nuzlocke or if you're streaming a Playthrough and you let your viewers name the Pokemon for you, but I just hate naming Pokemon that I'll be using constantly whilst playing through my solo games :P

I name my in-game pokemons but my competitive pokemons almost never have a name (I only have some 'funny' ones like my Sand stream Tyranitar that I called Darude)
But I do love if I get nicknamed pokemons on let say, wondertrade. This makes it just a little bit special for me but I can understand that some people don't like it :D
i nickname my pokemon because it feels like it is mine and no one elses. Like anyone can have a Swampert but only I can have a RipTide (what i name my Swampert pls dont steal) feels more connected towards it
