Welcome to the eighteenth edition of Vinnie Features.
''Vinnie features'' is a collection of Pokemon I had fun with, love using or (imo) great in competitive play.
It's a concept I have been thinking of creating, since I recently started my journey in the competitive aspect of Pokemon.
I am in no means an expert in Pokemon battling and I'm doing it just for fun.
I like experimenting with different pokemons, moves and teams (and losing horribly with them).

Cloyster, the black pearl-like Pokemon
Its shell is harder than diamonds
Once it has shut itself in, it is impossible to open it from the outside
It is said this great defense allows it to withstand even a missile strike
It opens its shell only to attack an opponent
With rapid succession, it launches its spikes against his enemy
The Pokedex states:
Cloyster is capable of swimming in the sea. It does so by swallowing water, then jetting it out toward the rear.
This Pokémon shoots spikes from its shell using the same system.
When attacked, it launches its horns in quick volleys. Its innards have never been seen.
Its shell is extremely hard. It cannot be shattered, even with a bomb. The shell opens only when it is attacking.
Excavation of the tombs of ancient hunting tribes has turned up many spears tipped with spikes that had fallen off this Pokémon's shell.

The first thing you notice if you look at Cloysters base stats is its tremendous defense stat of 180
That's the only bulk it has though, as it lacks HP and special defense
Still, it can take physical attacks pretty decent
Special attacks will destroy it though
That's why its holding a Focus Sash, guaranteeing to survive at least one turn
Skill Link makes it have strong attacks with Icicle Spear and Rock Blast
and will always hit 5 times which means the attacks basically have 125 power
Getting a Shell Smash off makes Cloyster extremely dangerous, putting almost all pokemon in OHKO range
Ice Shard gives priority and is used to finish off pokemon with low health
Planning on writing a guide for Cloyster, but not sure when I will have time for that
