To start off drain punch is sorta of a mediocre fighting move in terms power and offensive presence compared with either what power-up punch and low kick provide. Honestly drain punch can be used in tandem with power-up punch but Mega Kangaskhan will have to forgo coverage, normal stab, or fake out/protect just to work decently. This strategy can work for singles battles but in doubles M-Kangaskhan needs to provide either immediate offensive pressure or long-term sweeping it needs for overwhelming opposing teams.

Lets just ignore the fact that you get to leech a decent amount of life back even on resisted hits.

Drain Punch can work, but adamant Kanguskhan with low kick can OHKO standard 4hp 252atk/252dpeed Kanguskhan, and 252 HP Heatran.
