Kingdra @Assault Vest
Nature: Calm
Ability: Swift Swim
180 HP/104 Def/136 SpAtk/44 SpDef/44 Speed
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse
- Surf/Flash Cannon

While some prefer Ludicolo, Kingdra has the potential to be the next Swift Swimmer on rain teams. While have 95 in ever stat except HP (75) and Speed (85) doesnt really scream power this set does. Kingdra has a very diverse move set and speed with the rain to back it up. While the dragon type hasnt been as threatening as it has been in the past thanks to Fairy type, Kingdra still only has 2 weaknesses. This makes this pokemon very threatening and powerful. I also take advantage of Kingdra's bulk (yes it can be bulky) along with special attacking power and doubled speed in the rain and turned this underrated dragon into a force to be reckon with.

Defensive Calcs:

This EV spread gives the exact same stats:

EVs: 180 HP / 100 Def / 124 SpA / 44 SpD / 44 Spe

And we have 16 EVs left, which i would put in SpA to increase the chances to OHKO Terrakion with Scald :D

Basic way to put it, at level 50 any ev interval of 8 (i.e. 8, 16, 24, 32, etc.) gives the same EV value for the one below it. This is something I've picked up on and make sure to double check when I'm going over evs for my pokes

Great build Mudkip! Would you suggest running Muddy Water over Surf just so you can avoid hitting your team mates, or is the accuracy of the move a disadvantage in using it?

Honestly this set doesnt really require Surf, I have had pretty bad luck with Muddy Water and this rain team I built had Politoed and Ferrothorn to pair up with it. I only used surf if I needed 2 pokemon gone.
