First, Slurpuff isn't in the Alolan dex so, unfortunately, you won't be able to use it in Championship Battles, in Rating Battles, though this is the only format that it would be banned in. Second, if it was genned, then there might be a problem with how it was genned, and that could be why it isn't being allowed online.
Hope this helps!
im just a regular player who enjoys the game itself...so i dont really know about rules or vgc or the championship battles or the rating battle..
i just use the same team i have in ORAS battle spot...
whimsicott
tyranitar
slurpuff
when bank was released, i migrated these three pokemons....
i can use the other two...but not slurpuff....
im afraid i am not a fan of pokeballs ... so i would not know the difference...
but it is colored pink..and a heart shape symbol
If this is the Pokeball you're talking about...
...it is an impossible combination, as you can't catch Slurpuff legally in this type off ball.
The only gen that that you can catch Slurpuff
in is the 6th gen, and specifically in Pokémon Y.
There is no way to obtain a Love Ball in any
6th gen game without hacking it in.
Pokemon Sun and Moon can check for these impossible combinations
when you use the Battle Spot,
GTS or Wondertrade, and will reject any Pokémon with them
(eg. your Slurpuff in a Love Ball, a Porygon in a Beast Ball... etc.).
6th gen games were never able to check for these sort of flaws.
How you ended up with this. Unfortunately,
you probably got a female Slurpuff or Swirlix from Wondertrade or the GTS
that was in a Love Ball, and when you used it to breed your own Swirlix,
it passed down the Love Ball to it's eggs,
and eventually to your Slurpuff.
If you would like, as you're probably never going to be able to use it online in
Sun and Moon, you could trade me your Slurpuff
and I'll replace the Love Ball with a boring, old, regular Pokeball?
This would more than likely fix it.
Hope this helps!
