I think Support Aerodactyl is usually better. Also, if you want to run a rain team, Kabutops has a niche as a Swift Swim sweeper that gets powerful Rock moves. You could run something like
Kabutops @ Focus Sash Ability: Swift Swim EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe - Rock Slide - Waterfall - Knock Off - Protect/Aqua Jet |
