[RATE MY TEAM] Offense is your best defense, an analysis on my Medicham VGC'15 team
#3
I'm impressed :O So many tricks and surprises in this team.

Rock Slide coverage is useful but not as much as Protect in my opinion. There are many threats you may want to stall for one turn to give your partner a way to deal with them (such as Talonflame, Sylveon and M-Salamence).

That particular EV spread on Whimsicott is really optimal, i didn't know a different spread from 252 HP / 252 Spe could exist, well done.

A bulky Arcanine i really like, while i often run Flamethrower because it gets the same OHKO or 2HKO more or less, and it's more accurate.

Expert Belt Gastrodon is a common offensive set for Gastrodon, it's great as it gets OHKOs on 252 HP M-Mawile, M-Mence, Land-T and in general it deals with double genie lead really well too (if Thundurus is not running Grass Knot, which Life Orb Thundy do run) while giving your partners a cover from any Water attack.

Aegislash is LOL, i mean.. i can't see it working in a BO3 but it has the surprise factor in Battle Spot and Showdown. I prefer consistent sets that's why i don't like this one but i'm not saying it won't work Smile

Nothing to say about Zapdos but i'm not sure about Heatwave, as you can't hit Land-T if its partner is Heatran, because you would activate Flash Fire. There is always a way to play around it but usually Tailwind + HP Ice deals with Land-T and M-Mence better.

Interesting team as i said.. i'd like to see in action on Battle Spot too if you optimize it :D
