VGC 2015 WORLDS RECAP: Why "Battle Spot" Won Worlds

Kiev is right on point with this one. I won't lie when I say that it was a bit disappointing to see so much standard Pokemon in the format but there were things that made it obvious that the Japanese players were more focused on strategy more than countering unlike the US and EU regions as GMX said. Also, there was money/scholarships on the line meaning that the players would have to carry serious VGC meta teams. Not saying that XXX mon can't work or be used in the format but the mons that were chosen are those that performed the best in the VGC 2015 metagame.

Not arguing with what has been said here, I'm actually in full agreement
