Umm... where in Alpha Sapphire can I find friends? I'm having terrible luck finding these in game things you mentioned.

Unfortunately you have to go into the real wolrd to make friends. BTW tip, make sure your "freind" has shinies. It may be obvious but if you make a friend and they don't have shinies, well then you just have a regular friend and those are no fun.

it works on the dumbest of friends
just scored 2x shiny pidgey and 1x shiny weedle from loosing shiny sewaddle!
They did actually make me run though...
