First shiny i ever encounter was on Ruby, i didnt know what a shiny was or looked liked and so i fainted while training until sometime later i knew what shinies really were

I did however catch a full odds Shiny Chimecho while trying to start a chain for tyrogue in Diamond. Thats my only full odds encounter other than the Tropius and my SR Shiny Moltres. I have put alot of hours into Pokemon btw.

I randomly encountered a shiny abra in pearl version. It teleported.

The only time that I missed a shiny was in XY so far. I was chaining and I FINALLY (Read: I was busy with this for 2,5 hours) on a 40 chain. So I got super excited since it would be my first shiny in XY. Everything went fine .. until I selected my bike instead of the radar and broke my chain like that.

You had no idea how quick I turned off my DS after that happened, the salt was real lol
