252+ SpA Mega Charizard Y Hidden Power Ground vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Heatran: 168-200 (100.5 - 119.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Not the best but not the worst. It works in pledge teams with M-Chary + Venusaur lead combo to avoid to be walled by Heatran. I've seen Ancient Power too. It depends on which additional pokemon you need to check (Heatran, mirror CharY match, and so on).

Talonflame is relatively the easiest pokemon to use in the metagame. I don't understand the Top4 usage too but i assume it is more popular in lower rated ladders than in 1700+, where priority Tailwind and Brave Bird consistent damage might find place in a lot of teams.

252+ Atk Tyranitar Rock Slide vs. 192 HP / 0 Def Thundurus: 144-170 (80.8 - 95.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage using the Thundurus set Rogue posted above.
depends on if they put all 510 evs into hp do the math on that
You can't put more than 252 Evs into one stat....
Even if I did break the game and put 510 EVs into HP, it wouldn't matter...T-tar still wouldn't OHKO with Rock Slide.
So, how is everyone feeling about the meta? Any questions? Curious about any mons? Have any "sleepers"? (Pokemon that deserve to be in the meta, but are underused) Let's talk and work together, everyone here is apart of this. [:

That's impressive! M-Steelix always gave me a "meh" vibe because I've only used it in singles, but now that I look at calcs/doubles play style it could be quite the problem to deal with. Not to mention he gets the elemental fangs. [:

I guess Excadrill and Tyranitar haven't been covered as thoroughly considering Sand has been popularized in the Battle Spot ladder. Just off the bat we should probably make write-ups for Amoonguss, "revamp" Mega Mawile (I'm gonna cover for this week), Mega Venusaur, Talonflame, Politoed, Kingdra, Ludicolo, Ferrothorn (I'd probably should have just said Rain), Blaziken (both forms), Aegislash, regular Scizor, Mega Gengar, Infernape, Rotom-W (Revamp, Gyarados (both forms), and plenty others.
One very last but important update. Around ten days ago, a Nugget Bridge user named LatiosRider was able to do a statistical analysis of all the Pokemon used on Battle Spot Doubles for Season 9 (March 12 - May 11). This Data Mine is similar to how Antar provides usage stats from Pokemon Showdown for Smogon yet slightly more comprehensive. In this thread, LatiosRider posted the usage stats of each Pokemon, Mega Usage, Direct KOs, top 20 moves on each Pokemon, etc. Here's the thread.

Talonflame
Aegislash
Amoonguss
Gengar
Rotom-W

Ludicolo
Have, but outdated for the meta:
Garchomp
Hydreigon
Milotic
We can extend this list to the top 50-100 as well, Justin just mentioned the top 30 as our biggest needs.
I would like Black and Animekid to take some of these for us. I trust you two immensely. 1-2 would be ideal, just to get these down faster. I'll let you 2 get first dibs. I would prefer to get Breloom, because I've recently grown attached to him.

I'll probably work on the "rain" Pokemon such as Politoed, Ludicolo, and Kingdra for sure since I got a ton of experience using rain during the past few months on Battle Spot. We haven't discuss Mawile to often here so I'll work on it as well. Probably gonna have two of these down by the end of the week for sure.
