[ORAS] Chlorophyll Timid Whimsicott
#1
I told my friend how much I loved shiny whimsicott and so he bred me one for Xmas!
Thing is, it's 6IV, Timid nature with Chlorophyll ability.

Can you guys help me with a build for this guy? I'd feel bad if I didn't use it against him in a battle.
Thanks!

(Cool shiny btw)

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Timid Nature
- Cotton Guard
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Giga Drain

Def. Calculations (These are without Cotton Guard setup)
-252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Whimsicott: 72-85 (22.2 - 26.2%) -- 11.1% chance to 4HKO
-252+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Whimsicott: 157-186 (48.4 - 57.4%) -- 92.6% chance to 2HKO
-252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Whimsicott: 123-145 (37.9 - 44.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
-252+ Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Whimsicott: 85-101 (26.2 - 31.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
-252 Atk Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Whimsicott: 252-296 (77.7 - 91.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
-252+ Atk Huge Power Mega Mawile Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Whimsicott: 244-288 (75.3 - 88.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

This was the first thing I could make. It has little speed investment, but that's because it will have to have sun active. It also needs someone else to set up the sun (Ninetales probably). You want to get the cotton guard set up and try and stall with leech seed form there. You could also replace one of his moves with Sunny day for reliable sun setup.

There's also this...

Whimsicott @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Giga Drain
- Moonblast
- Hurricane
- Encore

It is speedy special sweeper with life orb. It doesn't need the sun to work properly, but if it is active, it outspeeds almost everything, including timid Greninjas. I decided to give it encore, because since it is so fast,it can lock an opponent into a setup move or something and take it from there. Life Orb gives some extra power, and overall this isn't a bad set.

Off. Calculations (These calcs are a little weak but oh well...)
-252 SpA Whimsicott Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Sableye: 194-230 (80.4 - 95.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
-252 SpA Whimsicott Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-W: 164-194 (53.9 - 63.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
-252 SpA Whimsicott Giga Drain vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Milotic: 144-170 (36.5 - 43.1%) -- 98.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
-252 SpA Whimsicott Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Gardevoir: 79-94 (28.5 - 33.9%) -- 1% chance to 3HKO

Hope this helps! Have fun!

Wow this helped me a lot! Thanks so much dude!
Do you have suggestions for a team that revolves around this Whimsicott? (Possibly sunny day team?)

One fun strategy to use is Whimsicott + Terrakion, or TerraCotta. Basically, you get a Terrakion with Justified and a Whimsicott out on the field. You have Whimsicott use Beat Up on the Terrakion, activating its Justified four times, bringing it to +4 Attack in one turn! It's really hilarious and an excellent way to sweep your opponents, and it's easy to fit Beat Up onto either of beastmoose's builds. Speaking of beastmoose's builds, other move options for the first one he provided include Taunt, Fake Tears, Encore, Helping Hand, Swagger, Memento, or Grass Whistle. You could even build a Tailwind team with Whimsicott as one of the Tailwind setters. In your case, though, you might want to build a sun team because your Whimsicott has Chlorophyll.

As far as a team that revolves around him goes, his move set is very support-y. The best thing I can think of for him is the second build I made. if you want, you could replace encore for another offensive move, and use choice specs for some extra damage.

With not having prankster his best shot is working with a sun team and having bulk or being an attacker. So you can mix around the defense, HP, and sp.attack evs which all depend on how you would like to run him.

Nope. You're stuck with Chlorophyll

Whimsicott @ Choice Specs
Ability: Chlorophyll
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Shadow Ball
- Giga Drain
- Psychic

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Growth
- Substitute
- Psychic

Both sets are contingent to if sunlight is out, which gives Whimsicott her speed boost via Chlorophyll. The Choice Specs variant is really just to come in and throw out hits against anything it would hit super effective or neutral. The Leftovers variant, however, is a bit more complex. First, you set up your substitute and get the sun out, then use growth until you have the desired stat boosts then sweep. P.S Growth increases SpAtk and Atk stats sharply while the sun is out.
