Aegislash is used much more in JP thats why it is so high on the list. If Gengar and Whimsicott are on the same team, prepare for Mega Gengar and don't use Fake Out or Protect turn 1. They can be a nasty combo if you're not prepared

Is that the Shadow tag/Encore/Disable thing I've heard of?

Yes, it sure is!

I ran Mega Gengar and Whimsicott duo. Heatran wrecked it. I personally have been seeing less Garchomps this season for an odd reason. Thought there would still be tons but rather I see more TR teams than anything so everybody has Azumarill and Mawile.

A lot of people don't like garchomp because Landorus is better at spamming Earthquake and Rock Slide, but it's still very good and useful if you need the dragon STAB.

Thats the only reason I even keep him around. Landorus is on EVERY team so I personally will never use it just like M-Kanga. I'm trying to find another counter for Swift swim Kingdra and garchomp is lmy best attempt at the moment. I also noticed Landorus have both not been running scarf as well as now having Superpower for the Bisharps which I find pretty funny.

The best counter to swift swim is thunder wave or tailwind.

Sorry for the delay. Holidays hit me hard and I've been focusing more on my competitive skills for Smash Bros.

It's not quite the Loch Ness monster, but it'll do.

Typing: Water
Weaknesses: Grass/Electric (All x2)
Resistances: Fire/Steel/Water/Ice (All 1/2)
Ability
Marvel Scale - When this Pokemon is statused, it's defense raises x1.5
Competitive - This Pokemons special attack rises x2 when one of it's stats are lowered.

Both of these abilities are really good, so we'll be going over sets for both.

-Stats-
HP: 95 / Attack: 60 / Defense: 79 / Sp. Atk: 100 / Sp. Def: 125 / Speed: 81

-Bulky Offense-
Milotic @ Assault Vest
Ability: Competitive
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 36 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Icy Wind
- Dragon Tail/Hidden Power Fire/ Hidden Power Grass

I usually start with personal favorites of a set, and this is mine. This actually isn't originally my set however. I had something very similar in EV's, and the exact same move set. I changed the EV's while analyzing some other teams/help from a fellow competitive player. We push into Defense over Special Defense for the obvious reason of having low-ish defense. Scald is basically a staple on almost everything that can get it in my opinion. Can't miss, decent damage, and can burn. Ice beam is also there for obvious reasons. RIP dragons. I like icy wind/Ice beam on the same set simply because of how useful it is. Icy wind isnt as strong as ice beam, but it hits both of your opponents while lowering their speed. Really useful. The last is really up to you. Because of Assault Vest we can't use non damaging moves. Dragon Tail is more useful than you'd think. You could always dragon tail something and make them switch into an intimidate user, giving you +2 Special Attack. Otherwise Hidden Power Fire is a way to take out Scizor/Ferrothorn. Where as Hidden Power Grass is a main way to his things like Ludicolo/mostly Swampert. I really love this set. Use it. (I prefer Dragon Tail UNLESS I have no grass coverage. Mega Swampert is a major threat.)

Offensive Side:
36+ SpA Milotic Ice Beam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Salamence: 172-204 (100.5 - 119.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 36+ SpA Milotic Scald vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Manectric: 124-147 (84.9 - 100.6%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

+2 36+ SpA Milotic Scald vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Bisharp: 262-310 (96.3 - 113.9%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

+2 36+ SpA Milotic Scald vs. 252 HP / 124 SpD Mega Mawile: 94-112 (59.8 - 71.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Defensive Side:
252 SpA Mega Manectric Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Milotic: 86-104 (42.5 - 51.4%) -- 5.9% chance to 2HKO

252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Milotic: 88-104 (43.5 - 51.4%) -- 6.3% chance to 2HKO

23 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Milotic: 174-205 (44.1 - 52%) -- 10.9% chance to 2HKO

-Bulky Offense v2-
Milotic @ Assault Vest/Leftovers
Ability: Competitive
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 160 SpA / 64 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Scald/Hydro Pump/Brine
- Ice Beam
- Icy Wind/Mirror Coat
- Dragon Tail/Mirror Coat/Recover

****This is Eeveeli's set.****
It works as the same set above, but it works more on offense instead of defense. I made a slight change by listing Recover and Leftovers. If you don't want an Assault Vest and would like the ability to use non damaging moves while still having the option to live (through recover) I'd use leftovers. Just an option if you wanted something different while retaining moderate bulk and still having power. Awesome set from Eeveeli!

(((So I don't flood my own post, check it out via link. There's lots of damage calcs with/without competitive boost, and some defensive calcs as well!)))

-Marvel Scale-
Milotic @ Flame Orb
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Aqua Ring/Hidden Power Grass/Fire

I know 252/252 builds don't always work out in VGC, but here it really does. With this we get a really bulky Milotic that's just incredibly annoying to deal with. Having a strong special defense investment in it's already huge Sp.Def. stat   makes it almost like we're running assault vest. Being burned from flame orb activated our marvel scale, boosting our Defense by x1.5. Keeping all of that bulk while being able to run Recover AND Aqua Ring? This thing isn't leaving the field any time soon. Cresselia? Is that you?

252 Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Marvel Scale Milotic: 51-61 (25.2 - 30.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after burn damage

252+ Atk Bisharp Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Marvel Scale Milotic: 67-79 (33.1 - 39.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after burn damage

120+ Atk Huge Power Mega Mawile Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Marvel Scale Milotic: 97-115 (48 - 56.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after burn damage

252+ SpA Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Milotic: 51-60 (25.2 - 29.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after burn damage

The physical threats that can 2KO you always have a change to burn, letting you recover safely. Also none of these calcs include aqua ring, so there's that to notice to. I think competitive is better, but change is always fun.

Pairs -
Milotic likes to be paired up with something that hits hard to support it's KO's. Choice specs Sylveon is an excellent choice so you can fire off hyper voices while being annoying with your bulky threat/finishing off what Sylveon didn't KO. Bisharp is another fun one. What better way to scare your opponent who carries intimidate then another mon who benefits getting hit by it? Heat Wave Heatran is another good one. Basically doing the same job as Sylveon. You could also put in any Intimidate user in here too. Milotic has a "meh" defense stat, so lowering the attack of any physical threats is great. Running a slow Milotic is also not too bad for a trick room team.

Fears...?
Milotic...doesn't...really...fear....anything. Nothing can really OHKO it. It's obvious that it doesn't enjoy hard hitting grass/electric moves. But it can eat up a pretty large majority of them. But who knows, fully invested choice specs thundurus-T with Thunder probably OHKO's....

252 SpA Choice Specs Thundurus-T Thunder vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Milotic: 168-200 (83.1 - 99%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

It doesn't. Unless it's Modest...which you will probably never see. Not to mention Thundurus T isn't even common. Oh, maybe Leaf Storm mega Sceptile!

252+ SpA Sceptile-Mega Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Milotic: 146-174 (72.2 - 86.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

nope....

I think the analysis speaks for itself. Milotic is really good in my opinion, and there's so many intimidate users/some swagger users in this years meta, that Milotic fits in very nicely. Not to mention there's so many things that are weak to ice/water in this years format! Mega Salamence, Landorus, Thundurus, Entei, Heatran, etc. I hope you enjoyed this!
