Pokemon VGC 2015 Metagame Megathread

Just me or is it amazing how much Talonflame nerfs so greatly? Like Mega Gallade is a OHKO and Darmanitan with no Defense also is a OHKO.

ikr priority BB has screwed me over quite a few times when I thought I was winning comfortably

also I've finally finished my team. I'm praying to Goomy so hard that it works well after all the effort I've put into it :D

Talon is just that dam annoying poke that's the bane of several new megas including lopunny and gallade. It checks fighting types so well its only downside is how frail it is i'd love to see a more defensive flying type with gale wings in gen 7 as the roost and tailwind with priority would be awesome to see but for now i have to deal with this thing admittedly it does suit my style alot XD

That is the glory of having Talonflame. The problem is things like Tailwind Aqua Jet can OHKO him so it evens out I guess some what. I personally use mine more strategic.

I know this is off topic to what you guys are talking about but Nugget Bridge published their report on the 50 pokemon VGC players have to prepare for this year's format. Scott really did a good job giving an overview most pokemon we should expect to see such as their roles, movesets, items, natures, etc.

The list isn't nothing I am not already ready to counter but it is in fact a very good one so thank you very much for the list.

its on topic to the thread so its np :P but yea i had a look earlier, few interesting notes but outside the few definite sets there's still a lot of experimentation going on so the article might sadly be a bit unreliable inside a month XD

What would everybody are the biggest threats to their team?

For me personally is partially Trick room teams, Hitmontop used flawlessly, and Choice scarfed Hydreigon. Other then that I got little gimmicks to help set up the opposing pokemon and get close to the KO.

yes Trick Room teams are kinda the bain of my team yeah my talonflame can still attack but i just get destroyed
